La Casa del Direttore Tronchetti. L’ambiente H e le fauces F2

Durante le campagne di scavo degli anni 2018 e 2019 le indagini condotte nella Casa del Direttore Tronchetti si sono concentrate in due aree di fondamentale rilevanza per la ricostruzione delle fasi di vita della domus: nell’ambiente H, un lungo vano la cui porzione S segna il confine meridionale della casa, e in F2, le fauces occidentali che collegano la fascia costiera al grande atrio centrale. Una canaletta nasce proprio al centro di quest’ultimo ed è stata studiata nel suo percorso verso mare fino all’esterno dei vani B e C. Lo scavo dell’ambiente H ha invece fornito importanti stratigrafie, legate a differenti fasi di cantiere, che hanno permesso di far luce su alcune delle più antiche fasi finora rinvenute nell’area occupata da questa grande abitazione.During the 2018-19’s excavation campaigns, the investigations led into the Casa del Direttore Tronchetti were focused on two main areas of essential relevance for the re-enacment of the domus’s phases: in the H room, a long space of whose S portion marks the southern limit of the house, and in F2, the western fauces which connect the coastline strip to the big central atrium in the middle of which a water channel has origin. Its path towards the sea has been studied until the outside of locations B and C. The excavation of room H provided relevant stratigraphies, connected to different construction stages which allowed to explain some of the earliest phases discovered so far in the area occupied by this vast building.
